A Nashville native and J-school alumnus of Columbia College Chicago, Mark Minton is a photographer, writer and journalist. Mark’s writing has appeared in publications such as the Garden City Telegram, High Plains Public Radio, Wichita Eagle, Native Magazine, Dodge City Globe and Topeka Capital Journal, and his photography has been featured in international galleries as well as publications such as the Global Fund’s Annual Report, PAPER Magazine, Document Journal and Gayletter. After leaving his position as an award-winning general assignment reporter at a regional daily newspaper in southwest Kansas, he moved to New York to document queer nightlife culture as part of an extended project. His journalistic career as a whole encompasses hundreds of stories and multimedia coverage of topics including local and state government, criminal justice, e-commerce, agriculture, local business, the environment, and education.
